Hackers, virus threats and the attempts to steal information are posing a constant threat on all websites these days. Websites with older versions of WordPress, themes and plugins are becoming vulnerable, and have resulted in websites being hacked.
You may have notice Windows updates are released on a regular basis. These updates for your operating system are primarily security updates. Installing the updates eliminates outside access to code in the operating system and the doors that hackers can use to access your computer.
It’s the same for websites using WordPress. WordPress is very secure – if you keep your core files and plugins up to date. As soon as the WordPress developers find vulnerabilities, they create patches to fix them. These updates must be installed to keep your WordPress installation clean and safe. Not installing the updates can result in problems with the site, and compromise your email server. The level and sophistication of hacking on websites worldwide is rising dramatically.
In order to keep your website secure you need a Maintenance and Backup Service Agreement.
The first part of the new Maintenance Package that I am offering is MAINTAINING your website by keeping the WordPress platform and all plugins and themes up-to-date as often as updates are released (2 – 3 times per month).
The second part is to ensure a clean BACKUP of your website. This will be done on a monthly basis.
• $15/month billed quarterly
• WordPress core, Themes and Plugins updated each time a new version comes out
• Monthly backups of your complete website.
• Website Restore – we will restore your website to the last clean version when needed
• Free WordPress migration – we will migrate your site for free during the setup process to a more suitable WordPress hosting environment.
This does not include any updates to the content of your website, or redesign of websites. It is strictly maintenance of the existing WordPress website and plugins in order to keep everything running smoothly and free of malicious codes.
